Public input sought on Dent County bridge project
Provide feedback Aug. 17 - 31 for Route 19 Spring Creek Bridge
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking community input on a project to replace the driving surface of the Missouri Route 19 bridge over Spring Creek in Dent County, just south of Salem. Built in 1986, the Spring Creek Bridge’s driving surface has deteriorated and is in need of repair. The roadway is anticipated to remain open to one lane during construction, with temporary traffic signals to guide motorists through the work zone.
As part of the design process, MoDOT is seeking community input and has multiple ways by which interested parties can provide feedback during the open comment period, Aug. 17 – 31, 2026. By commenting, questioning, and providing local insight, the public’s input is essential in helping to guide the design and construction process.
- By email – Send comments no later than Aug. 31, 2026, to CDCR@modot.mo.gov with the subject line: Missouri Route 19 Bridge Rehabilitation over Spring Creek in Dent County.
